National Capital Medical Specialists, NCMS was established by Dr Ian Prosser, Dr Paul Craft and Professor Paul Gatenby in 1998 not long after the opening of National Capital Private Hospital, NCPH in Canberra. The chemotherapy and treatment area of NCPH was set up at the same time to provide services to private patients. There is a strong and collaborative relationship between the treatment area of the hospital and specialists consulting at NCMS.
The current practice manager is Raelene Surtees. Professor Desmond Yip Dr Nicole Gorddard Dr Renee Eslick and Dr Maansi Joshi are the current Directors of NCMS.
