Dr Phillip Fletcher is a Consultant Neurologist and Unit Director of Neurology at Canberra Hospital, providing expert care across the full range of adult neurological conditions. He has a particular interest in cognitive neurology, memory disorders, young-onset dementia and atypical dementias.
After completing a First Class Honours degree in Physiology at the University of Oxford, Dr Fletcher graduated in Medicine with Distinction from St George’s, University of London. He completed specialist neurology training in London before undertaking a PhD in Cognitive Neurology at the UK Dementia Research Institute. His research into young-onset Alzheimer’s disease and frontotemporal dementia has resulted in numerous international publications.
Prior to relocating to Australia, Dr Fletcher practised as a Consultant Neurologist in both the NHS and private practice in London. He has since established Canberra Hospital’s Young-Onset Dementia Clinic and combines evidence-based general neurology with specialist expertise in cognitive disorders and atypical and young-onset dementias.
